Whiteboard
The Visual Explain Whiteboard acts as a workspace
for the easy comparison of multiple explain plans.
When performance tuning SQL statements, it is often useful to
execute a plan on a statement, locate performance bottlenecks,
modify the statement and then execute a second plan.
The Whiteboard allows you to compare these plans
side-by-side to determine if the performance tuning has positive or
negative effects.
- To clear the Whiteboard, click the Clear
Changes icon which can be found above the first SQL
Statement.
Whiteboard Enhancements
- The Whiteboard now divides into resizeable panes within the
same window.
- Each Whiteboard has its own editor
- Columns displaying in the Whiteboard are sortable.
